Integral Care provides person-centred support for adults and children with learning disabilities, autistic people and people who may present with behaviours that challenge. We support people to live safely, independently and meaningfully in their own homes and local communities.
We understand that behaviour can be a way of communicating unmet needs, pain, anxiety, sensory differences, communication difficulties, trauma, changes in routine or health concerns. Our approach is to understand the person and provide calm, respectful support.
Each person's support is planned around their individual needs, communication style, routines, preferences, risks, sensory needs and agreed outcomes. Support may include daily living skills, personal care, community access, communication strategies, emotional regulation, positive behaviour support, health appointments and social activities.
We work closely with the person, their family, representatives, healthcare professionals, ICBs, local authorities and education or community services where appropriate. Together, we identify triggers, reduce distress, promote independence and support positive outcomes.
Our staff are trained and matched to each person's needs and preferences. They use a calm, consistent and least restrictive approach, with proactive strategies to help prevent escalation wherever possible.
